Opus Major Privacy Policy

Opus Major, a simplified joint stock company with its registered office at 15 rue des Halles, Paris (75001), registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under no 922 671 268, is the publisher of the website www.majjam.com (hereinafter, the “Website”) and of the video game Majjam (not yet released) allowing players to combine music and video game experience (the “Game”).
As part of the development of the Game, Opus Major is holding test sessions of the Game (the “Playtests”), for which it selects participating players based on their application on the Website. Following the completion of these Playtests, the Game in its definitive version will then be made available to the public.
In this context, Opus Major collects and uses personal data relating to:
- the individuals applying to participate in the Playtests (the “Applicant Testers”),
- the individuals selected to take part in the Playtests (the “Testers”).
This privacy policy is intended for the Applicant Testers and the Testers. Its purpose is to inform you, as an Applicant Tester or a Tester of the conditions under which Opus Major uses the data relating to you in the context of your application to the Playtests and the Playtests in compliance with European Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (the “GDPR”) and applicable local laws such as, in France, Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to information technology, files and freedoms, as amended.

3. Is the collection of your data compulsory?
The collection of certain data is required.
This collection may be necessary to:
- consider your application for Playtests;
- enable Opus Major to create your Tester's account;
- provide you with access to the Website, the Game or to certain functionalities of the Website or the Game;
- respond to your requests to exercise your rights under the GDPR or the French Data Protection Act, as described below;
- respond to your requests for technical support or any other request related to the management of your account or the Game;
Where the collection of data is compulsory, this is indicated:
- either by an asterisk or a note on our data collection forms;
- on our cookies banner;
- or when we communicate with you.
The consequences of failing to collect data depend on the situation. Thus, depending on the case:
- you will not be able to create an account;
- you will not be able to play the Game or access our Website;
- Opus Major will not be able to process or accept your request to exercise your rights;
- Opus Major will not be able to process your requests relating to the management of your account or for technical support;
4. Where do your data come from?
We obtain your data:
- from you (for example, when you create an account or provide feedback on the Game);
- through third-party application stores (for example, Discord);
- through technical observations from the Website or the Game;
- through platforms on which reviews of the Game are published;
- through third parties for our advertising campaigns (X, Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Reddit)
5. Who receives your data?
Insofar as it is necessary to achieve the aforementioned purposes, Opus Major communicates your data to its internal departments.
To the same extent, your data is also communicated to:
- our service providers for the performance of the services we entrust to them;
- the financial, judicial and administrative authorities, in particular in the context of proceedings, litigation, controls and/or a request for the disclosure of data, on request and only to the extent permitted by legislation and regulations;
6. How long are your data kept?
Opus Major only uses your data for as long as is necessary for the purposes described above. These periods are indicated in the table below. Once the longest period of use of a data expires, each data will be deleted or irreversibly anonymized by Opus Major.

7. Are your data transferred outside the European Economic Area?
Your data are transferred outside the European Economic Area.
These transfers must therefore be accompanied by guarantees (Standard Contractual Clauses; Binding corporate rules) to protect the data transferred.

You have rights to control what is done with your data. These rights are summarised in the table below.

Your request will be processed within one month at the latest. If necessary, this period may be extended by two months, taking into account the complexity and number of requests received by Opus Major.
