Hey you! Before joining our playtest sessions, please read the following carefully. This is where we explain the rules specifically applying to you and other players when you have been admitted to playtests of Majjam. General rules about Majjam also apply to you, you can read them here. If you have any questions, you can write to us at support@opusmajor.io.
Majjam, a video game that can be downloaded from the www.majjam.com website (hereinafter the “Game” and the “Website”) is published by Opus Major, a simplified joint stock company with its registered office at 15 rue des Halles, Paris (75001), registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under SIREN number 922 671 268, with an intra-community VAT number FR88922671268, which also publishes the Website.
In order to improve, supplement and enhance the Game before its official release, we are launching closed playtest sessions.
Henceforth, these Special Terms of Service for these purposes (the “StoS Playtests”) define the conditions under which:
These StoS Playtest are a supplement of the general Terms of Services of the Game (“ToS”) available here, which means they apply to you in addition to the Terms of Services of the Game. You also agree to comply with rules and instructions issued by Opus Major, at all times, while participating in the Playtests.
Words beginning with a capital not defined here are defined in the ToS.
Majjam is suitable for players aged 13 and over. If you are a minor in your country of residence, please read the Contract with the help of your parent or your guardian. All use of the Service and the Game by minors is the responsibility of their parents and legal guardians. As far as is permitted by law, we accept no responsibility regarding activities which may be conducted by minors without the permission of their parents or legal guardians.
Every so often, we publish an announcement on our Website about the opening of a session for applications to the Playtests.
The application is free of charge and does not require the opening of an Account.
You must:
To apply for a Playtest, you have to:
Your application may not be registered until you confirm the accuracy of your email address (when required). You may send only one application per email address.
We have no obligation whatsoever to proceed to the Playtest you applied for (for instance, if we do not have a sufficient representative panel of players), nor to open new sessions of Playtests.
We may organize two types of Playtests. The type of Playtest will be indicated on our Website.
We may launch open Playtests, which means that everyone can participate in the Playtest. You still need to apply to the Playtest, but no selection will be enforced to applications.
When the Playtest begins, we will send all applicants an invitation email inviting them to create an Account, as well as an ID token, which is strictly personal and which you undertake not to share with other people.
We may also organize closed Playtests, which means that a limited number of players are shortlisted to participate in the Playtest.
In the context of closed Playtests, we reserve the right to select candidates according to our own criteria and at our own discretion to the extent permitted by applicable laws.
When we receive your application, we can make one of the following decisions:
We do not guarantee access, or even priority access, to a candidate on a list of applications who applies for a new Playtest.
You are not entitled to any compensation or recourse if you are not selected for a Playtest.
If you received an email inviting you to play, you must open an Account to play the Game in the Playtest.
Please read the ToS to find out the conditions to open the Account.
Moreover, please note that to open the Account for the Playtests, you must also provide us with the token we sent you, so we ensure your identity. This token can only be used for one Account and a specific Playtest.
As provided in the ToS, your Account is strictly personal and cannot be transferred. You agree that it is especially important for your participation in the Playtest.
You also undertake not to sell or exploit your ID token for commercial purposes or to trade or share your ID token with other players.
Any unauthorized transfer of Account or use of ID token may lead to all of the measures described at Article 10 of the ToS, as well as to:
Unless you close it or we close it according to the ToS, your Account will remain open after the Playtest session for which you were selected, so you can access other Playtests and/or the public version of the Game.
Notwithstanding the ToS, we reserve the right to close your Account at any time before, during and after Playtests until the final version of the Game is released.
When you are playing the Game in a Playtest, you are playing a game that is still under development and may even be incomplete.
Also, regular and unscheduled wipes of player progression and/or saved games may occur at any time, at our sole discretion. We make no guarantees about the persistence or availability of player progression or inventory items at any time during the Playtests and assume no liability for lost or deleted account data, including character data.
You accept that your progression in the Game and any status or value indicators you achieve through the Playtest may be deleted by us at any time, including, without limitation, upon the end of the Playtest and may not be transferred, in whole or in part, over to the publicly released version of the Game.
Access to the Playtests will be temporary (e.g. a few days).
You expressly accept that:
Absolutely, the Game is currently under development and may evolve with each Playtests to its public version.
Please read the ToS for more information about Majjam’s evolution.
Testing, functions, features, content, and various data performed or provided in connection with the Playtest are still in development and may differ from the public version of the Game or from any subsequent version of the Game. We make no commitment regarding features, functions, content, or data in any subsequently released version of the Game.
We are organizing Playtests to gather Feedback from you and others on the Game to assist us in its ongoing development.
Feedback is not mandatory. If you agree to give us your Feedback, you agree to provide us with honest responses. These requests may include for instance, questions about your level of interest in the Game or any technical bugs or inconsistencies present in the Game.

You also agree to enter into any non-disclosure agreement, Playtest agreement or other document that we send you.
Please read carefully the article dedicated to intellectual property rights in the ToS.
With regard to fan art and streaming game sessions, you undertake to mention clearly when sharing that the elements shared come from a Playtest and that they do not reflect the final experience and quality of the Game.
As provided in the Article 7 of the ToS about liability, the Game (including Playtest content) is provided to you “as is”.
You acknowledge that the Game is currently under development and testing by us. Accordingly, the Parties acknowledge that the Game likely contains “bugs” and other errors that could adversely affect its use or performance. You also acknowledge that you should take extra care in preserving its pre-existing data on your device in order to avoid any loss of data as a result of downloading and accessing the Game during Playtest.
Please also note that your game progress, status or value indicator and data associated with the Playtest may be deleted at any time.
By derogation to the article of the ToS regarding availability and security, provided that you are playing a Playtest, we will have no responsibility whatsoever to:
